LAUNA Eddy

Theater of The Horizon is a public art piece currently in progress on the island of Grand Bahama. It is supported by The Sijbrandij Foundation, in cooperation with The Government of The Bahamas and The Port Authority.

The challenge was to design and build a sculpture to be installed above the high water line at Taino Beach. Launa chose to focus on three main elements in her design: Interactivity, Durability, and Minimal Surrealism. The work plays homage to René Magritte, while providing a stage for the public to create their own art and experiences within it.
